I'm looking for a good program to make a good looking DVD/VCD of pictures taken from my digital camera. Is there a good authoring tool where I can create a menu with buttons, etc.?

What would you guys recommend? I've heard of Adobe PhotoAlbum....is that any good for what i'm looking for? Or has anyone used it?

  2. I have used Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 for this and it works good. ver 1 I don't think can do it. You can even set a sound track to play while the slideshow is running

Would you recommend putting it on CD format or DVD format for better playback on standalone DVD players??? And does Ulead MovieFactory 2 offer many different backgrounds, buttons, etc.... to choose from? I'd like to make a good looking disk to give to family members out of town.

  4. Check out Ulead PictureShow2. It in the Tools section on the left of this site. You can do DVD/VCD with audio and menus. Ulead MF2 will also work but doesn't have as many options for pictures (i.e. audio fade, multiple audio, filename titles....)

If you only want a PhotoCD, try Ulead PictureShow 2, not MovieFactory, but the best of PhotoCD, IMHO, is WinOnCD 6.0... it is great!!! You can add borders (including shapes of heart, etc,) and add text...

Also, small effects and a single background music to all pictures is possíble...

Bye the way, WinOnCD preserves quality, because, unlike other progs, like Photo2VCD Professional (something like this name), it does not convert the JPEG into MJPEG movie...

I have only done it on DVD. It has a few templates, but you can always make your own with photoshop.
