    Actually it's not THAT bad..

But after running a SVCD file through TMPGEncPlus, the finished DVD file's sound is "tinny" [for lack of a better word]. It's not TERRIBLE...but it doesn't resemble the source file.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for all the help guys..sorry for being such a n00b...

I should also point out that the SVCD file has a .m2v extension..

  3. If they have the extention .m2v then you have no sound cause that is only the video file. tmpgenc should also made you a .mp2 file. just mux those with tmgenc (menu file-> option mpeg tools). which i suggested here

BTW: If you reencoded anything it will never be as good as the source cause you're reencoding.

I saw that post. But these files are .m2v and have both video AND audio. I haven't muxed anything. Once I do though, that's when I get the two files. 1 video and the audio that doesn't sound that good..

But, I supose you're right...anything reencoded will never be as good as the source..

Perhaps..I could rip the audio with an AUDIO only prog then mux those together like you suggested..?

Thanks for your help though. I DO appreciate it. [even though I feel like i'm running in circles..]

if this IS the case, just rename them to *.mpg files. I would check first however by installing AVICodec and confirming that they are in fact MPEG program streams(video & audio streams)
