  2. what i would do syxx
is encode it to dvd-video using tmpgenc
first of all b/c svcd resolution is not dvd complaint (sp??)
and the audio on svcd is not 48hz (sp??) like it would need to be on dvd
so you would have reencode anyway
now im kindaof new at this but it was much easier faster and quality was still great
when i encoded the svcd to dvd using the dvd template with tmpgenc
but i always lower the resolution to 352x280 (something like that)
    and bitrate at constant 2000k
now doing this is still dvd-video and it will play in most if not all dvd players
and like i said the quality seems the same to me and this way you can put 2-3 movies onto one dvd
now the other method that was mentioned and it looks like the one you're trying
    i didnt really like
for one you could fit about one movie converting it to dvd-svcd
which is just reencoding the audio to dvd standard
and it only plays in about 40% on dvd players
and the ones that do play it you cannot rewind or fast forward or anything
or jump to different parts of the movie
meaning when you put the movie in you'll have to watch the entire movie from the beginning
so you have some choices but like i said its much better the way i mentioned it above
