Hi,
Can anyone tell me how I can put in a blank screen at the start of a movie so that I can put titles on it. Also I would like to copy a small segment of my DV video and place in a at stragic points is there a quick and easy way of doing this.? I guess this copied clip would be inserted into the time area and not as an overlay.![]()
Any help would be great! as I am having a bit of a problem with it.

Just use a color clip. They're in the dropdown box on the right where you select video, etc or the EDIT dropdown along the top edge. Pick white, black or any other color, set the time for as long as you need.
You can overlay titles, images, or video onto the color clip you've placed in the timeline. -
Thanks Gees I shall give it a go tonight.
Any thoughts on the best way of copying a bit of video and placing it at the beginning for example. -
As far as I know, once you have your snippet (?sp) of video, you can plunk it anywhere you'd like by dragging it onto the timeline.
Right at the beginning would be the easiest. Inserting into the middle of another video requires cutting the video at that point and then dropping the clip between cuts.
Clips are easy to insert before or after other clips and usually look best with a crossfade - or other transition - between them so the change is not too awkward.
Is that what you mean?
