i just capped tonight's futurama using virtual vcr and using the mjpeg compression

next i edited out the commercials using virtualdub and then selected direct stream copy on both the audio and video and saved

after that was complete i tried to play the file in wmp and when i tried to skip several minutes into the show i got a 'playback' error saying that this type of file is not supported but in the background the show was still playing with no sound

if i use wmp to play the original avi file and skip around i have no issues

anybody know what's up with this?
