  1. This prob has nothing to do with vcds but I don't know where else to find out answers to this question. I bought this computer and it had a DVD ROM in it and I can play dvds and then i guess i accidentlly deleted my dvd player program and the next thing I know when I try and download another program it comes up with an error about my resolution but i fix it to the size they want and it still doesn't work anyone know how i can fix this prob?

  2. Ive had the same problem. With my comp, I usually set the resolution at 1024x768. One time for some reason I think I either reinstaled my DVD playback software or reinstaled my graphics driver. Anyway, after that, I would need to change the resoluton to 800x600 for it to work. The only solution to this problem that Ive gotten was to reinstall the graphics driver, and imeddiately after the comp restarts you should be able to play it. However, if you leave it for too long it wont work anymore until you reinstall the thing again.
The second solution would be to format your comp and be careful not to uninstall your graphics driver or DVD software again, but I doubt you would opt for this solution =)

  3. I had the same problem. I installed a DVD-ROM (a Toshiba; borrowed it from a friend), and when I booted up with Win2k, it stated that I needed to change my resolution to 800 X 600. So I did, and I still got the same error message! However, when I booted up with Win98, it worked perfectly at any resolution! No idea why. May be a driver problem, but I thought that Win2k had pretty much every driver needed to run most computer add-ons and accessories (it had a driver for my DV cam when Win98 did not). If anyone knows the answer, please post.
