So far all the good ones I've found are Trial or Shareware. I found one decent one called PopThis but it only cuts the ads in half pretty much Does anyone know of any freeware that will kill most popups? If not freeware something in the $10-$15 price range would also be acceptable. I just want to see what my options are before I go and pay for software when there might be an alternative thats free that works just as well, if not better and ends up costing me nothing. Thanks in advance.

I'm using http://toolbar.google.com/index-beta.php , free and works pretty good. Or else you can always try another browser like Opera or Mozilla firebird with built-in popupkillers.

You could try this browser called MyIE2, its completely free and has ad blocking in it, i very rarely see ads while browsing now.

Its an addon to your existing IE6 browser and very small and highly configurable than IE6 is, try it and see, i like it a lot and dont use IE6 anymore.

In fact you ALL should use it

By the way theres no spyware imbedded in it or anything.

Use Mozilla. I've been using it about 8 months and have yet to see a pop-up.
You'll have to disable pop-ups, the default is to see them.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

I second that. But make sure you enable "Aggressive Pop-Up control' in the menu for it to work even better.

I give 2 thumbs up to mozilla. Works like a charm and gets it right 99.9% of the time, while still letting through those popups that are parts of a site ( not ads ).

    It really is quite slick.
