Can someone please tell me why this happens?

I've used DVD Decrypter to capture 2 separate chapters from the same DVD; chapters 1 & 10 from YES - SYMPHONIC LIVE. I've used exactly the same technique for both chapters. I do not use Stream Processing; I just capture all the content into the .VOB file.

When I drop the .VOB file into DVD-Lab I choose to have DVD-Lab demux the file. Then I drop the video file and the AC3/5.1 audio file onto the Movie Track. When I do this with the files from chapter 1 everything works just perfectly. I end up burning a disc with great video and audio.

However, when I do exactly the same thing with the files from chapter 10 I get a message saying cannot packetize the audio.

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Does anyone know what the heck is going on here? Why would the audio from one chapter work just fine and another chapter - from the same DVD - not work? PLEASE can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I managed to solve it. I tried VOBEdit and got the same results. Then I tried DVD Decrypter with Stream Processing and having it do a Direct Stream Copy; same thing again. Then, finally, I tried DVD Decrypter with Stream Processing (Demux) and that worked!!!! I can't believe it finally works! I don't know why it works one way and not another but at least it does and that's what counts, I guess. Anybody know why it works this way but not the others? Does anybody really care?

try having DVDLab NOT demux the file...I have had no probs just importing VOBs directly...and I have never (at lest not yet) had that error message...

on a side note...i have recently been using DVDShrink....and have noticed that some "main titles" are spread over 2 different VOBs...maybe try that with your "chapter 10"...maybe all the audio is not there...

I was also having trouble with DVD Decrypter splitting large VOB files into 2 or more files. I found a place to change the settings to not allow the files to be split and everythings works fine since then.
