  1. hey guys, plz help me on this, i am a newbie

    I hv a 880MB file that i wanted to cut in half so i can fit it in 2 cds... i know i could go to the edit section and download the software.... i tried all of them...but i couldn't get any of them to cut/split up to the part that i wanted, cuz they are all demos...

    wht can i do? how can i overcome this?

  2. You should be able to do this in TMPGEnc, even in trial mode. Look under File -> MPEG Tools -> Merge and Cut.

    Just tried it on a VCD stream and it worked fine. Just 'Add' your file, double-click on the stream, and then select your Cut point...

  3. I tried TMPGEnc, yes, it would cut... but not to the part that i wanted....
    =(


    after cutting i press "Run" then it always stops earlier than i wanted.... =(
    i don't know wht to do....

    or anyone has those software that i can borrow?

  4. Get DVtool it will cut your movie in exactly 2 equal parts and it keeps the audio/video perfectly in sync unlike some crap splitters out there


    I have the same prob you have with TMPGEnc so i started using this DVtool and it works great

  7. Hey,

    Easy Video Splitter (shareware) and mpgscissors (free) will also cut videos. But they specifically will not work with VBR encoded source - i tried . Tmpgenc is pretty good for me because it can handle VBR but you mentioned that you can't get it to cut exactly where you want.
