I have encoded lots of SVCD's to DVD yet I am having a few problems on a few DVD players not reading the disk correctly and the picture either comes out bad or green lines along the screen and I know what the problem is and wondered if anyone know of a solution to it.

Basically after converting SVCD to DVD the DVD still thinks it's a SVCD on a DVD disk and so I wondered if there was anyway I can make it a true DVD disk after converting from a SVCD to DVD.

If anyone has any help or comments on this please help

Just to add to this, I have used the guide and it does indeed make a true DVD film, but I do 2 questions.

    1. If a film is 3 SVCD's and I convert using Main Concept Encoder the film always seems to be bigger than 4.7gig more like 6gigish, how do I get it down to fit on a DVD without shrinking it using something like DVD2one or InstantCopy?

    2. There is one setting I am not to sure about and wondered if anyone can explain it to me, I am not sure if this helps in question 1: In Main Concept Encoder the bit where it says "Depending on the output size of your mpeg, you may not need to decrease/increase the bitrate, and you could leave it as variable, if the mpeg is larger than 1.3gb I would suggest selecting a constantbitrate of approx 4500, as below, select ok, and return to main window."

    Thanks

come to think about it I have come accross a problem, some of the films I encode are well out of sync and thats TMPGEnc that is causing that when I join them together, I doubt it's the mpeg encoder, so is there a way to encode and not have the films out of sync
