Hi I have an Pan E30 and I have been trying to record an NTSC dvd. The film goe's through the macro master pro copy lead and to my dvd recorder but I get a black line or somtimes flashing picture.
I thought the lead may be faulty so I telephoned them and they said that the E30 had to be told to playback in NTSC.
It outputs at pal as standard.
To change it to output at NTSC hold the STOP and PAUSE button at the same time on the front of the machine for 5 seconds, it will go blank and that's it it is in NTSC (do the same to change it back to PAL)
Inoticed you get the same bad picture if you monitor from my player through the dvd recorder to the tv with an NTSC signal without first changing the recorder output to NTSC as well.
They said to do the above your TV has to be capable of NTSC input which my tv is.
Its probebley a common problem so I would be interested to know if anyone else has had this type of thing.
Cheers

It was Casper the Friendly Ghost, it had macrovision on it that my black box wouldn't break, worked on every other movie, that was vhs to vhs years ago. Is it possible that the flashing is the macrovision?
