i've been trying to shove 5 21minute videos onto one CD. I used TMPGEnc to set the bitrate to 615. After encoded i used drag n drop in nero. but for some reason down the bottom where it shows how much of the cd is used up it shows the actual length of the video. anyone know what im doing wrong? thanks

You can make an XVCD or XSVCD. You could easily get all your clips to fit. I just did the 6th Day. VBR 1600kbps and audio of 128 and framesize of 352x240 with 23.98 fps(29.97 with 3:2 pulldown) and it's only 528MB and on TV the quality is enjoyable. If you're gonna play it in your DVD player make sure it supports those though...

windboy, the length will always show the same because you didn't really cut the clip length, you just lowered the bitrate. The way to know if it will fit is from outside, in explorer. Check the filesizes of all the files there, add them up, and if you get more than 800MB, then you must use even lower bitrate. Another thing you could do to figure out exactly what you need, is add up the times of all five clips, then use the VCDhelp bitrate calculator to see exactly what bitrate you would need to fit it onto a 74 or 80 minute CDR.
