  1. Hi all, just this one quick question. First of all, my TV has a very bad overscanning problem, it overscans to the left side much more than it does to the right side. So all the pictures are offset to the leftside. After I crop my video so that it compensates for the overscanning, the rightside of the TV is displayed correctly, meaning that it doesn't overscan (in fact it "underscans" a little bit), but the leftside of the picture is still overscanning. Now the only way I can think of to go about fixing it is to shift my video to the rightside, basically offsetting it to the rightside of the screen a little bit so that it's not centered anymore. Does anyone know a program that can shift a video? I use TMPGenc to do all my encoding and cropping, I use FitCD to calculate how much to crop. I work with mostly DivX or Xvid codecs. I know it's possible to use Premiere to do some of the editing but Premiere is a n00b at opening some .avi's. Well thanks for any help!

  2. you can use AVISynth to do it. basicly you would resize it down to compinsate for the over scan, then add borders on the top/bot/left/right and when you do, just add more to the left then the right.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author
