I am having a wierd problem with my TMPGenc.
I was converting a 6 GB AVI file (about 30 minutes) to MPEG1 file, the estimated converting was around 4 hours (I was uing highest quality for MPEG output), after it has converted 5 minutes, I aborted the conversion.
Now I want to convert the same AVI file again to MPEG1, what happened was the TMPGenc only converted the first 5 minutes AVI file, then stoped. I tried coupled times, it just finished at first 5 minutes and stoped, didn't continue to convert.
I checked the AVI source file, it looked ok, nothing wrong with it around 5 minute point.
Can anybody figure out what is wrong with my TMPGenc? Thanks.

I had trouble with AVI's in TMPGENC until I started capturing AVI's with VirtualDub, then everything worked fine.

The frames are ok in AVI source file.
When I first converted it to MPEG1 file, TPMGenc showed the source AVI was 30 minutes length and gave me a estimate time of 4 hours to convert, but I aborted it after 5 minutes.
And I wanted to convert it again, TPMGenc said the AVI was only 5 minutes long and gave me the estimate time of 1 hour or so to convert.
I think TMPGenc has corrupted the source AVI file when I aborted it, is that possible?
