I've got a Sony Digital8 video camera and am using its passthrough feature to capture a tv show onto my computer. I'm currently using pinacle studio 7. When I'm capturing as Full DV quality I see objects moving fast being split into some lines and also the picture goes frizzy at times, however when captured using a codec eg indeo video or the pinacle one the picture quality is quite good. Can anyone explain what I'm doing wrong.

(At least my) Studio 8 captures video interlaced. I believe TMPGEnc can de-interlace captured video for you.
<----- Look at some guides/ info on the left to better understand "interlaced video"
