  1. Can somebody help please.I had a problem last with with a file i had which i was trying to encode with tmpgenc. The problem was eventually solved with a codec file. Now i have a problem with the audio side of the file. When i try to change the compression rate witth VirtualDub i get an error message- no audio decompressor could be found to decompres the source audio format. But when i open the files with G Spot i get -The following codec should be capable MPEG Layer 3 decoder.
The files all play fine in WMP and Power DVD.
Is there something else i should install or have i un-installed something i shouldnt when messing with codecs last week

  5. I think its more of a codec problem that i have.Tmpegnc wont open my audio files either. So there must be something i did last week to get xvid files to work.I think ive uninstalled the wrong codec as i did try allot but as most didnt work i was uninstalling them. What i cant understand is the fact that WMP and Power DVD are still playing the files properly with the audio?.
Can anybody shed any light on this?.
