please could someone tell me the best way of getting into network admin as i am considering a change in career i already no alot about pcs but how do you prove it what are people looking for

Well, both microsoft and cisco run courses in network administration, at about £600 a pop. not cheap by any means (especially given they basically read to your from text books) but something you just have to do to get into that mid of position.

so if i passed the ccna exam would this be enough as someone has loaned me the cbt ccna traing cds for prep and can i take the course locally (leeds area uk)

well it'd be a good start. get in contact with a load of companies in your area. banks are good, they have huge networks that need to be fixed damn quick if there's a problem. just post your CV and make a big point your under taking the course to any company that you know uses a network. most advertised posts ask for a fair amount of experience, but some companies are glad to have fresh staff to train the way they want them.
