I have a 30 minute MPEG file that I'm trying to convert to VCD for burning to a CDR.
TMPGEnc won't even load the file.
Main Concept Mpeg Encoder loads the file but only recognizes the first 24 mins of Video.
I can play the video and see all 30 mins but can't seem to save it.
Ulead movie make loads and plays the enite video but whn I try and save any portion it is all black.
I just need a way to save the last 6 minutes. i can then edit and join it to the first part I have already converted with Mpeg Encoder.

I don't understand... Are you trying to convert the file TO MPEG? Or is the file already MPEG? If the file is already MPEG, then you should be able to burn it to VCD right off the bat because MPEG is the VCD format (MPEG-1 that is).

Download DVD2AVI from the tools section. Run your mpg file through it and it will create a video file (d2v) and an audio file (wav). You should be able to load those into TMPG. You can also download the mpeg2 plugin for TMPG. It will allow you to load mpeg files into TMPG directly. You can also download Virtual Dub MPG2 and use it to frameserve your mpg file to TMPG.

You can also download the mpeg2 plugin for TMPG.
Sounds like the update I need. Where is it available? -
In the tools section on the left. Look under encoders. After you install it go to the environmental settings and look for the plugin. Make sure it has a priority of at least one.
