  1. Hi all, I've got a VCD which has a .dat file that I want to convert to .mpg I've used VCDGear2.0 to convert it but the sound is WAY out of synch. I've tried remuxing with BBMPEG but it does not work. Any suggestions??

  3. Mike is correct, I do this all the time when I want to make another copy of a VCD, just did it last night on 9 different .dat files that are country music video's from Dishnet Sat. I had captured months ago and burned to a VCD.

  5. Yes, the renaming of DAT to MPG works for me too. What are you using to view the MPG's?? Try Windows Media Player - it works for me every time and with no audio sync problems.

zeppsstteerr, after you copy the .dat file to the harddsik, try playing it,is it out of sync ? If it's,try defragmenting your harddisk.

  7. Hi, I'm running Win98 and am fully defragged. I'm using Windows Media Player but still have the audio synch problem. I'm going to try running the .dat through TMPGenc and see what happens. Thanks for all the hints.
