Ok I have the MPEG file created by a friend of mine, sadly he lost his and therefore mine is the only one left. But when I tried to play it back Windows Media player says there is no codec, even though I KNOW its an MPEG file.

It played before on my PC, and I have tons of suff installed as far as codecs go, divx, mpeg4, xvid, and an MPEG2 dvd codec from WinDVD, but Media player, Ultra Player, WinDVD, and later even my old copy of PowerDVD all says it cannot play it.

Any clue on if there is anything I can do to fix this file? Or is is gone forever? I have never really tried to fix something like this so I have no place to start. I did notice that MPEGCorrector is on the tools section but it says its only for MPEG1, should I give it a try anyway?

I'll give it a try in the morning I guess, I never really worked with VCDs before so I didn't know it might be good for that.
