    You only need the proper codec. If you have quicktime installed, it should take care of the problem. If your not sure, you can also use GSpot (find it in the TOOLS section to the left). It can tell you if you have the necessary codec installed.

    Virtualdub doesn't support mov. EVen if you have quicktime installed. But you can use this method
