    My files are large I would like to compress so that it can fit into 1 cdr. Which compression program has the highest ratio Please indicate the ratio. Zip, rar,lha,tar etc...Anyone? Thanks

    Rar compress a bit better than zip. But you wont be able to compress video that much, the best way to compress video is to reencode to another compressed format(lose some video quality).

    is this just for transporting purposes or do you also want to play the video directly off of the CD-R?

    It's for archive purpose Anyway I found out the best would be 7-zip.Much higher than rar winzip etc...Thanks anyway.
