Hey gang -
right now, I have a stack of VHS, Beta and Laserdisc players in the corner near the computer.
I'd like to jack these into some sort of switchbox so that instead of constantly unplugging and replugging my video and audio input cables, I can just flick a switch and be ready to go.
here's the criteria -
- it needs to have component input and output jacks (coax would be a plus, but not critical)
- it needs to accept at least 3 sources
- it needs to not degrade the signal significantly (ie - I'm not working with an oscilloscope here, but I don't want the image quality to get visibly worse... some of my source material is already dicey)
- it needs to be inexpensive - preferably under $50. I'm broke as a joke, I can barely afford blank dvd's.
what I am hoping for is either a recommendation for something new and inexpensive, or a lead for some old pro gear that would still be worthwhile, but might have been upgraded recently and could be found secondhand or on eBay.
...or evidence that this is either a pipe dream or waaay out of my price range for anything that works well.
Any info welcome and appreciated.
thanks.
