  1. Anyone know if there are plans for a Panasonic DVD recorder with a firewire input? Sony has the firewire input but no hard drive, Panasonic has the hard drive but no firewire.....

  2. Panasonic DMR-HS2 has always had firewire input. It came out last October:

  3. I believe the E60 has a Firewire as well. However, this model, like the E50, does not have hard drive.

  4. I have the E60 - it has FireWire. No hard drive.

I have dubbed about 10 videos via FireWire. Look very good. Only problem is that is is supposed to insert chapter breaks every five minutes and some of the videos have breaks every 2-3 minutes which is annoying. Very ugly menus. Allows you to set disk titles, but I havent seen where you can set program titles yet (haven't really looked).

  5. Pioneers new model coming out his Fall which is a dvd-r/dvd-rw will have a bi-directional firewire input/output. The panasonic's E100H is only an input.

I have the E-30. Assuming that it's the same to set program titles, press return, then highlight the program and hit the (right) --> to get the options. You can then spell out the title you want like the disk titler. Note that you can erase all of the date/channel info already there to give you more room.
