  1. You can use the program to automate TMPEG, and create VCDs, SVCDs, KVCDs, SKVCDs, DVDs, KDVDs, and any MPEG-1/2 option that TMPGEnc supports in CQ or CQ_VBR mode. ( 2-pass not supported, because it's inferior quality, compared to CQ encoding. )
Note: TMPEG 2-pass is not supported, because it's own CQ mode is better that it's 2-pass mode.
Not to be confused with "other encoders" x-pass mode, which are better in x-pass modes (CCE for example)

  4. Here starts a thread of 10+ pages of people arguing that 2-pass is not inferior to CQ.

    still nobody argues

I really don't understand. Is it for predicting the average bitrate for a CQ mode ? If it is accurate enough, sounds interesting.

  6. I'm surprised myself, good thing.

I haven't tried the tool yet and personally I'm a fan of CQ, I just wouldn't say it's better than 2-pass. And 2-pass isn't better than CQ.

Has anyone tried this and have any comments?

Sorry man, how can you say that CQ is far better 2 Pass VBR,

Thats like saying that a Mini Cooper is far better than a Ferrari.

2 Pass using Tmpgenc, or 3 or 4 pass using CCE is way better that CQ.

actually CQ is better. for several reasons, its faster, and you can use low bitrates, and still get better quality than CBR and similar to 2-pass. and no this will not be a 10 + page topic. people will be arguing, till they realize that what a waste of time this is. not in a bad way KWAG, by that, i mean people that like CQ will stick to their way and they dont care if other people change there mind, and same goes for 2-4 Pass VBR.

With TMPG, CQ coding is better, with CCE, variable pass encoding is better.

Sorry energy80s gonna have to disagree again, to me 2 pass VBR in TMPGEnc is better than CQ.-

That include's VCD, SVCD and DVD.

But seeing as i only do DVD's now and use CCE for that, i only use TMPGNEnc for multiplexing and demultiplexing and extracting the audio from avi's.

I get better results in my opinion with CQ then 2-pass VBR so this program seems interesting to me. Although, since I just saw this thread and haven't been over to the listed web site, I'm still not sure what this program does.
