  1. i have a little proble with dvd shrink 2.3. i try to fit an dvd9 to a dvd5 but, when it loaded in the dvd shrink, it say something like this
    "dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue operation.
    bad macroblock type!
    the reason is unknown..."

    i don't know what is going on. i also try to rip it into the hard drive and then shrink, but it appear the same message again.. can any one help me... thank...

  2. If the DVD is encrypted you HAVE to use Smartripper or some other program to rip and decrypt to your hard drive. Then use DVD shrink.

    Let us know if you allready tried that and exactly what program you used.

    DVDshrink has its own ripping function... it can rip encrypted DVDs ....prolly not as well as DVDdecryptor...but nonetheless, it can.

    @andy,

    use DVDdecryptor in FILE MODE to rip all the files to your hdd. then, let DVDshrink process them.

    btw, i would play the actual dvd in a software dvd player (i.e. winDVD/powerDVD) for a couple of seconds right before you are about to rip. it helps to "unlock" the drive.

    I second that. DVD Shrink does a fine job, sounds like you have a different problem.
