Problem with my backup Playstation 2 game.

ok i have the original midnight club and the backup dvd+r midnight club. So i thought to get passed the bypass section i would just put the original game in first and let it load the game to start menu. Then shouldn't it be possible to take the orginal game out and put the backup in to play the game?

because for me it wont. Is it suppose to do that or did i rip the dvd wrong.

I may be wrong here, but unless you have some special swap disc hardware if you take the original game out it will reset, so when you put the copy in its as if the original was never inserted.
