  1. Ok, everytime i get an XVID encoded file, it makes my TMPGEnc crash somewhere in the file, i've tried reencoding with virtual dub and it is no help. Can someone give me some tips on how i can go about re encoding it so i can convert to vcd/svcd with no problems.

  2. try completely uncompressing the audio. i think you can do that in virtualdub also
    and, in tmpegenc, change the priority for directshow in the vfapi plugins. make it higher or highest. see if that will fix it.
