  1. I have a number of video clips stored in .ASF fromat that I'd like to convert to MPEG and eventually DVD. They were downloaded from as site and I had to pay for a licence to run them on my PC. The licences are no longer avialable and I'd like to put them on a DVD to watch on a standalone player.

I have tried using VirtualDub 1.3c to convert them to AVI but it just produces junk. Does anyone know how I can convert them?

  2. I have a method but it is not the best.
Use MS media encoder to convert to .wmv
then use TMPGenc to convert to MPEG

  3. Thnaks for the advice. I tried using WME but it kept falling over because I needed a licence. Presumably the licence I have is resticted to play only.
It is possible to just remove the header or something or is each frame encrypted/scrambled?
    Any other ideas?
