  1. whats up with the formats MVCD and CVD.... i heard i can get a whole movie in good quality on these... nearly divx qual?
    any info or sugesstions? thx

    MVCD? never heard of that - perhaps was it KVCD - kwags custom templates.

    Here is a basic Divx --> SVCD guide. change the audio to 48khz and resolution to 352X480 for CVD

    ive heard of MVCD, but its like kvcd, just not as popular. and and if you want a guide to put a whole divx or xvid movie on one cd, use my guide its the second link

  6. MVCD isn't any standard format...prolly some derivative off of (S)VCD.

    only MVCD i've heard of is Menu(S)VCD where menus are included.

    mvcd is a ripoff of kvcd.

    Well, that depends what you want to do with it once you have got it on to your CD.

    If you want it to play just on your own DVD player, then experiemnt to find what works best. Just remember, as soon as you stray from the standards, you run the risk of it Not working anymore if you ever replace your current player.

    If you want it to play on a wide range of DVD players (like lending discs to friends), stick with the standards.

    If all you want is PC playback, stick with divx.
