  1. hey guys, i figured this was the best place to ask.

i've got a problem here, i've created a motion menu with sound, used dvdlab to create chapters and chapter select menus, everythng is linked up and all that, it's all in working order.

now, when i go to compile, it muxes the a/v files, then goes on to creating menus, then "finishes" quickly (like 10 mins...and it's a 4gig movie) and reports no errors. now, the past 2 times i've tried it, it finishes and when i go to the directory of the movie, all the files aren't there. there are no menus, just several .vob files and all but like the first are empty, and it's usually only about 500meg or so (never the full completed movie). and soon after my system hangs and i can't open anything else, and i end up having to hard reset.

    any ideas on this?

winxp pro, btw, and i have 200gig+ space, so that's not an issue, and 1gig RAM.

what version of DVDLab are you using? I had d/l the newest update, only to find that I get some of the same problems with motion menus with sound. I went back to ver 1.2 and everything seems to be OK. Seems like the new versions are still a bit buggy...

  3. There is an option in DVD-Lab to do a "test" compile, where it replaces all the movies with a stub. Check and see if that is what might be causing your problem.

  4. it was the version, i had come across an older copy i guess. i got the patch for 1.2.2 beta i believe? the latest one they offer, and it turned out fine as far as THAT problem.

then i ran into an issue with "transition" effects, my menu got stuck in an animated loop, so i think i "aimed too high" and need to try some simpler stuff to see what i did wrong
