  1. I created my vcd with 1000 kbits/s.... (So actually u can't say a vcd... but have to do this because our indian movies r pretty long..around 15o mins.). so wanted to make it in 2 discs.. that's y... anyway coming to my probs... thought i will make a menu for the vcd with the help of nero.. so i followed the guidelines given in this site.. in fact i imported my photograph along with some notes...it created a menu file automatically with a nice photo and text on it... after burning this.. i found both mpg files and menu file...off course in different directories...when i play my cd... it starts with menu...even though i gave pause of around 5 secs it flashed only for a fraction of sec and disappeared...further the movie didn't start and couldn't c anything... but in my power dvd..if i select only the mpg file from mpgegav directory then it works but i c only the movie and not the menu...if i select both the menu and mpeg file..it's not working.. i couldn't follow what's happening as this is the first time for me with menu's... request some guru's to throw some light on this..
    thanks in advance

  2. As you pointed out it is not strictly VCD. Therefore in Nero when you drag the mpg files into the list there is no doubt an error message telling you its not VCD compliant, and "would you like to create the file anyway?". If you select yes, the Nero software is obviously not going to behave in the way it would had the mpg file been compliant, hence the folders, files and structure of the final result will not be a VCD.

  3. u will have to use 3 CDs to maintain a reasonably good quality picture and sound. (av. length of movie being 150-170 min)

i found better menu creation with EzCDC than with Nero.
Nero gave me a still shot menu with no audio. while in EzCDC, i was able to add audio also.
