  1. I hope someone can really help me with this one. I recently installed Win XP and it comes with Media Player 8. Now my problem is every divx I burn, media player ends up only playing the audio. Now every other divx backups that where made while I was using Win 98 se plays properly with Media Player 8. But the divx made while running XP, plays properly with Media Player 6.4 Hope someone can help me on this one.

    tks

If you downloaded the DivX Bundle (newest v4.01).
It comes with the DivX Codec v4.01 and a media player called Tha Playa. You can use the Tha Playa to play ANY format of video...

  4. Or use v6.4 which is also included with XP. That's what I've been doing. I hate v7.0 and v8.0

  5. After trying out all different kinds of codecs, the ones that seem to be able play most but not all my divx in Win Xp are the KS codecs. I've tried the 3.11a and the new 4.01 codecs and seems like they are not installed even though they are. As anyone had any sucess finding codecs that work with XP ?
