Hi everyone,
I got a short and simple questions for you guys
When i want to create my DVD-r in NERO what MODE should i pick, i can pick MODE 1 or 2, i understand when you write a DVD-r with DATA you should pick MODE 2 to be able to have long filenames etc...
but does that matter when you write a VIDEO-DVD??? all the files are 8+3 anyway.
Thank you all for the answers!

What does this Joliet do??? Some identifier for Windows?
My 2 DVDs i have made had this Joliet checked but they work perfect in both Windows and in my Stational DVD player. -
Joliet allows long file names. (And it is a Windows format.) You would only need it for a DVD that had DVD Rom content, that is, files other than the Video_TS folder, files that had stuff that you could only access on a computer (like if you put a file of jpeg photo stills on a DVD with your home movies so you could keep the material together.)

Actually, I add ROM content to many of my discs (great way to backup the setup files and graphics used on the disc), and never use Joliet, and the long filenames are just fine. I believe the UDF allows for the long names, and Joliet is just a nuisance on a DVD-Video, ROM content or not.Originally Posted by David KWant my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
