Would like to take a captured AVI or MPEG2, or home movie and convert it to VOB, IFO, BUF files (DVD Decrypter type files). This way I can use dvd shrink to make it fit on one DVD (of course less than 4.3GB and less than 120min).
OR
Is there a good (simple) way of compressing the AVI so that it will fit onto 1 DVD?
I hope this is on the right part of this forum ~ my first post.
Thanks to all that help![]()

VOB, IFO, and BUP files are standard files found on any authored DVD. Just encode your video to a DVD-compliant stream with MP2 or PCM or AC3 audio. Use any standard authoring program to put in menus, chapters, etc. THEN BURN IT! I recommend using TMPGEnc DVD Author or DVD-Lab, cuz they're the kewlest/most flexible.
