Convenient way to make chapters?

Experts,

Here is what i do to Author my personal DVD.

Use windows movie maker to capture Avi file using Firewire and then import that file into ShowBiz. Do some editing/spliting and then Write to DVD directly. This works great.

If i send file from Showbiz to Sonic MyDVD and create some Menus and then then try to write to DVD. The picture quality is not as good as the first way. Also the problems with the first way are.

1. Cant create chapter points/menus

2. Also cant write to harddisk using Showbiz.

Could someone please help me and give me some ideas..

how do you capture to AVI in windows movie maker? i thought it only captures in WMV format?

I just crosschecked it again. It does create avi file by default. I downloaded the latest version about a month ago. May be you have the older version. Could that be the reason.

This software is freee and works much better than other softwares like MGI, MyDVD for capturing but has no DVD autoring way. First product i like from Softy.

When you burn to a DVD using ShowBiz, it gives ya the option to save a copy to your hard disc as well... mine does!
