TMPGEnc. Load the VOB as video input. Select Settings/MPEG-2. Voilą!

  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wont that also re-encode the video? I dunno if this is what you want...
You could also just use TMpeg but go to MPEG Tools and do De-Multiplex, load up the VOB and save the m2v.

But now if I could ask a question myselft....
Doing TMPEG Demux works only with the VTS_01_1 file, and no subsequent VTS files. Why is this, even if the second one is exactly the same filesize, it doesn't work? Anyone know?

No, you may not. Not unless you open another thread. Otherwise, you just hijacked LowerCountry's topic.

  5. If you want to demux these files to elementary streams (m2v and ac3/pcm respectively), I highly recommend ol' DVD Decrypter www.dvddecrypter.com. Simply put in the disc and fire up File Mode, right click the VOB you wish to demux on the side panel and select STREAM PROCESSING, then put a checkbox near the files you plan to use. For your video file, highlight it and make sure the DEMUX button is selected, then go to your audio source (PCM/AC3) and make sure DEMUX is also selected, then hit OK.

After you're done with that, double check your folder and presto! you should have your elementary streams (M2V and WAV) for your intended purposes. Hope this info helps you in making your music videos!
