  1. Ive heard the word demux and mux or somthin please excuse the spelling but I have no idea what this procces does. and why would you do it?

    I did a search on it and all i know is people do it to the MPEGs before putting them into vcds or somting

    Is this a matter of compression or Mpeg repair?

    Please help a guy out and clearing the fog?

  2. demux and mux are used to refer to the processes of seperating the audio and video and combining the audio and video respectively

  3. a reason why you'd want to demux is if you want to manipulate either the audio or video separately, such as normalize the volume with sound forge (just one example)
