  1. I have a very strange problem. Since four weeks I am creating my VCDs with VCDeasy and they are really great: I create menues and submenues and I also include an "autorun.inf" file and a software player so the VCD can be played on any Windows PC (including the menue).
This was not possible with the VCDs that I created using NERO.

But now when I try to copy one of my VCDs created by VCDeasy I am facing a problem: NERO refuses to copy these VCDs!!!

this is how I create my VCDs:

I use VCDeasy to create bin and cue files - then I use NERO to burn those to the VCD.

If I look at the VCDs I see (in NERO) that track 1 has a unknown length - and it is labeled as 'data' (no information about the mode).
I think that this is related to my problem.

All my older VCDs that I authored in NERO (which copy fine) show for track 1 a reasonable track length plus: "ISO 9660 (mode2)".

Does anybody here know what I am doing wrong?
I would be very thankful for any help!

  2. Nero may not be burning your CUE/BIN images properly...

If you are using Nero, I suggest the following...

    (1) Get Daemon-Tools to mount your CUE/BIN images as a virtual CD.
    (2) Get CloneCD to copy the CD
    (3) if CloneCD doesn't work with your burner, then use Nero to copy the VirtualCD.

  3. Thanks very much for your help.
In the meantime I already read somewhere else that the problem could be related to NERO. I just downloaded the daemon-tools v3.33. I will try to copy the virtual CD using NERO since I don't like to have multiple burning software installed (not sure if they don't interfere...) and otherwise I always liked NERO.

I will post later how it worked.

  4. CloneCD uses its own (included) ASPI drivers as does Nero so they should be "isolated" from each other...

You could also try using Alcohol 120% for burning your cue/bin from vcdeasy, I use clone cd myself for making copies, alcohol 120% will also make copies.
