Don't get cute. My video files are okay, remember? Anyway, your Direst Show priority settings in TMPGEnc, are they set to be the highest of the priorities. Look in Options-->Environmental settings-->VFAPI

And the subs, are they placed correctly on the original vdieo, or too low, or far off center?
    Hello.

  12. well...in the guide there really wasn't a choice to change the subs...i think...i just followed the guide...but one thing is the tmpgenc can play the file in preview section but there is no audio and i see no subs. Is this normal?

  13. but if i click out of the serving mode and the normal virtual dub comes up tmpgenc saids the format is unsupported.

  14. ok i tried to use the frameserve with no subtitles, just the movie but still the tmpgenc still gives me the same error.

Yes, it is normal. One more thing. Blank out the audio input box on TMPGEnc to make sure you do not have a audio problem, and make sure your Direct Show priority is back at its highest, since you have adjusted it.
    Hello.

  16. ok this is weird now the tmpgenc will not even open the file anymore it saids that its unsupported.

Have you selected a template in TMPGEnc, and is there any chance your source file may be corrupted?
