  1. Hello,

I only being making VCD for a month and have ran into a strange problem. I have some .avi files with subtitles on them. I am using Nero 5.5 and Roxio 6 to make my VCD, but when I encoded my .avi to mpeg, I lose the subtitles.

Why does Nero and Roxio strips the subtitles off, what can I do to encode my file to keep the subtitle on? An easy way please.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

are these subtitles a different file? if so, you will have to encode with the subtiitles. there is a guide on here that shows you how.

  4. No only the .avi file. I read all the form on subtitles most talked about the other file, but I only have .avi. So that why I posted the question.

  6. Ok. I have found out that the only way I can see the subtitle is with VobSub, I didn't notice that these .avi turned on VobSub when I play them. So I guess that is why Nero and Roxio code the subtitles. So now how I get VodSub to hard encode the subtitle in the .avi do that I can encode them?

    Thanks
