  1. I have been doing this successfully by folloing the guide posted in the conversion section. I have converted over 10 movie files successfully but ran in to a problem with one of them yesterday.

The file was split in 2 as always and was converted but it just does not have any Audio, I can't seem to figure out the reason, I did it twice just to make sure but the 2nd time also it came out without any audio. The other files in the same batch came out okay. Also the source file itself is of excellent quality so the source file being corrupted is not the case.

I did not tweak any audio settings, I simply followed the wizard from the guide for converting to mpeg to eventually make VCD. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Get Gspot from the Tools section and test your file. You might need the AC3 codec or you might have MP3 VBR-endoded audio. Try Goldwave to extract the audio to wav and use that as the audio source, here's a guide.
