    obvisouly the entire computer case would have to be redesigned but...


    a vhs tape player sitting right on the internal bus.

    it would be a tape playing unit and a/d converter that feeds the video right into the internal bus and to the processor.

    would this be a good idea. it would be a vcp to reduce space and heat.

    that way u wouldn't have signal degradation from traveling over cable.

    -Why ?

    -Analog VHS (BETA) tape is an oboslete technology
    -Todays fast motherboard/CPU emit EMF (electrical radiation) it would need to be shielded.
    -just use a good quality gold plated cable , copy your current tapes and wait for DVD-RW

    i'm bein serious here.

    if we were to shield it and work out the cooling problem, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

    think about it, you have the player, converter, encoder and storage all in one.

    i think it's good cause u don't have to worry about hooking up cables n havin a vcr at ur feet
