Hi I am just a newbie and have a small question and a small problem. I decrypted one single chapter from dvd and copied the vob file in a seperate folder because I don't need the other information as I just want to keep only vob file in my drive.
I have also created an image in Photoshop and imported the Jpeg into Ulead Movie Factory, used a small 9 sec mp3 and generated a vob file so the mp3 clip plays for 9 seconds displaying that single image. This will be my second vob file.
Now I have used VobEdit to combine the two vob files as I want the decrypted vob file as tagged with the generated 9 sec small clip. VobEdit combines it succesfully and I try to play it with Powerdvd and MediaPlayer. The short tagging clip is inserted in the end of the vob and not at the start so when I play it in MediaPlayer first I get the movie length more then over an hour as in 1:12:08 whereas the actual decrypted length is just 5-10 minutes. Also the time slider has stopped working completely so I let the MediaPlayer run to check the end clip, but the end 9 sec clip vanishes in the end with no mp3 sound and only 1/2 second display of my Photoshop graphic and Player stops. Powerdvd also plays the first vob only.
what I want is to combine them so I can play them from my drive and see the tagging 9 sec clip playing in the end and if possible a working time slider.
thank you.

if you want to add your 9 sec clip at the begining you need to change the vob name eg your 9 sec clip will be vts_01_1 and your movie clip will be vts_01_2 (if you want your 9 sec clip at the end then the vobs should be named the opposite way) then join them using vobedit when complete you will need to open ifo edit and click create new ifos (do not open the vobs in ifoedit) select the first vob and a directory to save the ifos in, when complete move the vobs to the folder you saved the ifos in reopen ifoedit and open the new video_ts.ifo that was created and click get vts sectors close ifoedit, play the dvd everything should be in the correct order and the time indicator should now be correct

thank you for the reply. but when you say join the clips by renaming them vts_01_1 and vts_01_2, that is exactly what I did and joined them. And that is all I want to do, nothing more. I don't want it to burn it further instead I will keep it in my drive. And it shouldn't be anymore problem right?
But when I join the clips and I rename the 9 sec clip as vts_01_1 and the other as vts_01_2 and try playing the resulting file, I get totaly blank screen and it shows that the timer is running but no voice and no video at all also timer slider doesn't work. Second when I renam ethe 9 sec clip as vts_01_2 and the other clip as vts_01_1 and then rejoin, the vts_01_1 clip plays fine but the 9 sec clip now vanishes in the end. The total time is more than an hour and timer slider doesn't work in this too.
All files I am trying to play are in PowerDVD and MP, but both are giving me exactly the same error. However both clips work perfectly when I try and play them individualy. -
Try renaming the originals to VST_01_001.VOB and VST_01_002.VOB. I think the filename must end in 00x.vob before using VOBedit to join them.

I do know how to join the vob b naming them but thats not the problem I am having.
Could someone possibly give me a simpler solution on how to merge a jpg picture and an mp3 to make a vob? I want to try making a new vob instead of Uleadmovie factory generated vob.
