  1. ok i have only converted 3 DVD's to SVCD and i use the prog DVD2SVCD and
the 1st one i did it all went smooth but the last 2 i have done after im
all done converting and i go to split the large mpeg using this method
https://www.videohelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm and the 1st one like i said went
smooth but the last two it wouldnt work i would get a messege like this
video PTS (5351.83ms) underflow at pack 590 by 1.50ms
video DTS (5618.77ms) underflow at pack 638 by 54.57ms
video PTS (5652.13ms) underflow at pack 644 by 61.20ms
video DTS (5685.50ms) underflow at pack 648 by 54.50ms
video PTS (5718.87ms) underflow at pack 654 by 61.13ms
video DTS (5752.23ms) underflow at pack 657 by 47.77ms
video PTS (5785.60ms) underflow at pack 663 by 54.40ms
video DTS (5818.97ms) underflow at pack 665 by 34.37ms
video PTS (5852.33ms) underflow at pack 673 by 54.33ms
video DTS (5885.70ms) underflow at pack 677 by 47.63ms

so i looked at the log and i got this

it looks like the total bitrate is way to high but i dont see how thats
happening i use the CQ template i got from jakes website and i use like
min bitrate 300 and max bitrate 2520 and so im not sure how its messing
up here is every step i take in converting

    1. Pop in dvd into my dvd rom
    2. open up DVD2SVCD
    3. click on rip and convert
    4. when all the ripping and converting is done (EXCEPT THE TMPGenc part)
i start up TMPGEnc and put the dv2 and i think m2v files as my video and
    audio
    5. Load up the CQ template
    6. Start converting
    7. Coversion done
    8. go here https://www.videohelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm

But like i said at step 8 is where its messing up so i have to split the
    file using this program
DVtool.ttp://www.musclesoft.de/combatman/sindex.html and its a real pain
to figure out where to cut it and all that crap plus i guess im getting
rips that are way out of bitrate so i wont put them in newsgroups with
    above standard bitrates

Can someone please let me know where im going wrong ?

also after i use DVD2SVCD what should the video file and audio file be?

    TIA for any help

im ready to rip a DVD but i wanna get it right this time with correct
    bitrate and all that

  2. DVD2SVCD will split the files for you and create an image so you can burn
it straight to disc with an authoring program like nero.....

I am not sure you are using DVD2SVCD correctly ...it will doeverything for you....Right from the start ..to finish

Have you read the guides on how to use it by the sounds of it you doing it all wrong. Sorry to say this to you
How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then?

If you like Tekno download one of my tracks

  3. well then it has already split the files for you. In the directories there are files (depending upon how many splits there are ) called bin and cue.

If you notice the bin is about 800 mb and the cue is only a few kb. These files contain the movie already packaged up in svcd format. Go to Nero and go file burn image. You will notice only the cue file appear. That is fine click on it and burn it ready for your viewing pleasure. The cue file points to the bin file. so you see you don't have to cut anything. all you have to do is burn the bin/cue files.

  4. But what i do is rip everything and do all the converting (Except what TMPGEnc needs to do)

When i do a DVD2SVCD i dont always wanna do the whole converting at once i wanna do everything DVD2SVCD needs to do then later i do the converting with TMPGEnc

Are the settings on that page i posted good?
