Hi, this my first Post.
I have 2 Questions:
1.) I used Nero to encode my 319mb(avi) to Vcd (450mb alltogether) and it took about 50 min to encode then like 2 min to burn. The only problem is that the audio is couple seconds late. Fps was 25, Audio - Sampling Rate was 48000Hz, 2Channel(Stereo).
2.) I was wondering what encoders do most of you people use, and how long does it take for it to encode?

Tip: Check your avi for bad frames before you encode, they can cause sync problems, here's a guide.

Vdub checked for bad frames: none found.
TMPGEnc encoded (PAL format) to SVCD. Took 1hr 10min.
Nero Burned to SVCD(PAL format). Btw the video source was 25fps so i didn't convert it to NTSC.
Result = My Sony DAV-S500 "Can't Play It"
Any ideas? -
I have a Sony, they are VERY funny about playing SVCD's, the settings have to be perfect or it just won't play them, stuff svcd make a vcd or an xvcd, they always work

Audio sampling rate for VCD is 44.1khz, not 48khz. And has been mentioned don't use nero to encode, not if you want decent quality VCD anyway.

hey the Sony Header Trick Worked, but theres no audio...
I don't know, I'll try encoding and converting it to NTSC to VCD.
Thx for the help though. -
Did you change your audio stream sample rate to 44.1khz, as I said earlier 48khz is not standard for (S)VCD
