  1. i have 3 .avi movies and i basically wanna burn em on dvd.

    Problems:
1)the first .avi movie and 3rd .avi have an error or something. when it reaches a frame it just messes up. And i usually have to close the player and reload the .avi and just manually skip over it ( error lasts around 5 seconds or less) then its just the rest of the movie.

So im thinking maybe an .avi editor that will let me crop those 5 seconds and wont hurt the quality of the movie.

2)AC3- i got the filters and turned it in to wav file, then i converted the .avi to mpeg with the wav and its out of sync. Also because of the error in the movie. There is no film in the mpeg after the error so i really need to edit the .avi without hurting quality and i need good instructions/opinions on how to get the sound in sync.
Can dvd players play ac3 or is it requirted to turn it in to .wav and .mp3? if it is required tell me wat i did wrong or something.
I used goldwave and turned it in to .wav on 48000hz it plays fine its just out of sync.

    Help will be greatly appreciated.

  2. First try useing a program called DIVFIX on your avi.
To get it just do a search for it under that name.

When you have it installed open your avi in it and run the rebuild avi index option/ keep original file.

Depending on how many errors there is it might be able to repair them.

If not run the program again on the ORIGINAL not the divfix repair file produced on the first attempt (that just wants deleting)
this time however tick the box that says REMOVE BAD PARTS.

Even if this a good few frames it won't affect the watching of the movie and often cures the out of sync problem.

Yes, dvd audio can be ac3. Pick an avi to dvd guide guide from the "Guides" section and go.
