  1. I have never seen a study on this but have read a couple post that says that 4X burning is not as reliable as 2X burning. One post said 1X was the most reliable. Are there any studies on this?

I burn my masters from a Mac at 2X and duplicate on a 4X duplicator and I have never had a problem.

An internet search hasn't turned up any information either.

    Thanks

I have never actually seen a "report" on it, but in a general sense i believe it follows the idea that the slower burn speed, the less likely any error will occur.

My drive only burns 1x and 2x, so if im REALLY wanting to ensure the burn is ok, I burn 1x. If im not so much concerned i burn 2x. Honestly, never really had a major problem with either speed. I cant burn at 4x, so i cant tell you anything about that speed.

but im pretty sure more of a "it feels safer to burn at low speed" kind of a thing to me.
