  1. hi,

just wondering if u can help me me converting VCD to DVD's.

i've looked at the link (https://www.videohelp.com/vcddvdr.htm)
, but i can't seem to get it right. what does the ISOBUSTER do??? co's whenever i tried to extract to MPG file, my hard drive doesn't recognise it. What is it that i'm doing wrong??

so then i left using the ISObuster, and tried to download the MPEG2 to my HD, (which the computer recognises) next step using the movie factory, and clicking on add movie, it pops up 2.8 GB, which really is a 700MB! on my HD it also say's 700MB but when i put it on movie factory it comes out 2.8 GB.

    can u pls help.

TMPEG will demultplex the VCD's .dat file into it's .m1v and mp2 compnents. Your authoring program is re-encodeing the video to DVD spec and probably converting the audio to un-compressed PCM audio. PCM audio uses alot of file space. An hour of PCM audio will be 800MB's compared to mp2 being around 80MB's. Also VCD audio's sampling rate is not compatible with DVD and is also being re-sampled. VCD uses 44,100 sample rate,DVD uses 48,000 sample rate.
If your only author one VCD file you could use IFOEDIT 0.95 to author your VCD.
