  1. When I try to extract the sound [trying to save it in wave] from the virtual Dub it says sound sample does not match or something. Strangely it plays in media player. I even installed the AC3 codecs and using a version of Virtual Dub that supports AC3... advise... sorry no time for GraphEdit which I know it works but tell me something easier ? Thanks

    Use DVD2AVI or rip the .AC3 directly using your ripper. Then use HeadAC3he to convert to .WAV.

  3. In vdub, use direct stream copy mode on the audio to extract the .ac3. Vdub will add a wav header and give the file a .wav extension. Rename the file to file.ac3 and then remove the wav header and fix any other problems wit ac3fix.exe. Then if you want a wav, convert with Headac3he.

  5. Early version of virtual dub didn't handle ac3 very well try virtual dub mob
    version 1.4.1.3 for example.
    Another good program for convert from one audio format to another is
    BeSweet, get it from Doom 9.
